Shaheen Shah Afridi Joins Elite List After Completing Century at Eden Gardens Against Ban, ODI World Cup 2023

<p>In the current World Cup 2023 match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday, Pakistani bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi became the quickest pacer and third-fastest overall to achieve 100 ODI wickets in a match against Bangladesh. On the sixth delivery of the game, the left-arm bowler achieved his milestone when he trapped Bangladeshi opener Tanzid Hasan for a duck. <p>Sandeep Lamichhane (42) of Nepal is the best spinner overall, followed by Rashid Khan (44) of Afghanistan. Saqlain Mushraq (55) and Starc (45) occupy the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of Bangladesh, had earlier won the toss and chosen to bat against Pakistan.</p>
<p>The son-in-law of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, Afridi took his 101st wicket in the very next over when Usama Mir was caught by Najmul Hossain Shanto with an easy catch. Afridi is now ranked second in the list of players with the most wickets with 15.</p>
<p>Bangladesh restored Towhid Hridoy to the playing eleven, replacing Mahedi Hasan. Pakistan made three changes, replacing Imam-ul-Haq, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz with Fakhar Zaman, Agha Salman, and Usama Mir.</p>
