Real Kashmir came victorious in the match played on the TRC Football Turf in Srinagar, living up to the expectations of their devoted home fans thanks to goals from Wayne Vaz and Shaher Shaheen.

Yet, there were some early glitches in Saturday’s victory. Real Kashmir had a little to find their rhythm and played cautiously in the first minutes, even though they ultimately won.

Even though they seemed a little out of practice, Rajasthan United was still able to generate several scoring chances.

In the sixteenth minute of play, Rajasthan United had the game’s first meaningful opportunity. Dario Da’silva Junior maneuvered past Real Kashmir defenders Ahteeb Ahmad Dar and Hyder Yousuf after taking advantage of a hole in their defense. However, Real Kashmir’s goalkeeper Muheet Shabir easily collected his attempt since it lacked the required force.

In the 22nd minute, Real Kashmir had a chance of their own when Gnohere Krizo found Ahteeb Ahmad Dar with a well placed through ball. Dar made a stunning run to get past the offside trap, but his shot painfully went wide.

The first half ended with neither goal scored, as both sides fought ferociously to dominate the game.

The tie was eventually broken in the 49th minute by Real Kashmir. Lalramdinsanga Ralte curled in a well accomplished free-kick from the right.

Kiran Pandhare leaped to the far post to connect with the ball, and he skillfully nodded it to Wayne Vaz in the center of the box. Vaz took advantage of the situation and scored a goal with his left foot, leaving Rajasthan United goalie Jha and Suraj Jeet Singh Negi in the stands. It provided Real Kashmir with the much-needed momentum and assurance.

In the 58th minute, Real Kashmir had another chance to increase their advantage. Excellent ball into the box from the left by Dion Menezes was met with a headlong shot from Krizo for an unmarked Jeremy Laldinpuia.

Laldinpuia, however, wasted the chance by aiming the ball directly at the sprinting Jha.

With a few substitutes, Rajasthan United attempted to reverse the deficit and almost equalized in the 68th minute. Ragav Gupta, another substitute, met C Lalchungnunga’s cross from the right. Lalchungnunga was William Pauliankhum’s replacement. But Muhammad Hammad, the captain of Real Kashmir, was there at the appropriate moment to eliminate the threat.
