<p>Yashasvi Jaiswal, one of the Indian team’s most exciting prospects, was chosen as the backup batter for the World Test Championship final. Despite not making the first 11, the selectors supported him and chose him for the West Indies trip.</p>

<p>After the team’s nets practice at the Kensington Oval, Jaiswal may get his maiden cap. In a clip published by seasoned sports journalist Vimal Kumar, he can be seen being approached by Virat Kohli as he does his routine workouts. The former captain offered his opinions, was spotted encouraging the new player, and suggested a few adjustments to the young player’s technique.</p>
<p>When playing on the front foot, Kohli and Jaiswal were observed chatting on how to posture their bodies and use their feet. Kohli was using his hands to demonstrate the proper technique in order to provide a clearer comprehension and better visual depiction. Shubman Gill, another promising young player, was seen warming up to the side and attentively observing the whole workshop.</p>
<p>While training, there was a serious environment maintained, although Kohli seemed to be having fun while doing batting practice. Teammates Jaydev Unadkat and Ravichandran Ashwin were spotted bowling to Kohli.</p>
<p>The first test will be the fourth Test trip of the Caribbean for Kohli. A young Virat Kohli made his international debut on a trip against the West Indies. In nine Test matches, Kohli has scored 463 runs at an average of 35.61, with a best score of 200 during the 2016 trip.</p>
<p>While Kohli will continue to play at his preferred slot of number 4, Jaiswal and Gaikwad will be vying for Pujara’s former position. With 9 hundreds for Mumbai in only 15 games, Jaiswal has an outstanding record in the domestic circuit, averaging 80.21 in the First-Class format.</p>
