According to Novak Djokovic, his relationship with Wimbledon Center Court is “a very romantic and special relationship”

<p>The 23-time grand slam champion said, “We know the tradition, and we know how old Wimbledon is.</p>
<p>“I try to marvel at every second I spend on the court, even though I know I’ve said it before and it sounds corny. Particularly at this young age, it is a great honor. The seven-time All-England Champion remarked, “And at this point in my career, when I’m still trying to push ahead with the new guns.</p>
<p>The Serbian added with a bright grin on his face, “I don’t know how far and how long it is going to take, but so far so good I must say.</p>

<p>Djokovic defeated Australian maverick Nick Kyrgios in the 2022 grass-court major final to increase his AELTC total to seven and go within one championship of Roger Federer’s unmatched record of eight victories at SW19.</p>
<p>The Argentinean Pedro Cachin served as the Serbian’s first opponent as he easily overcame his first test in a 6-3, 6-3, 7-6 victory in the first round. The Serbian then carried on his strong play against Thompson.</p>
