He said, “I’m not expecting anybody to support me,” to the amusement of the English audience.

He continued, “That’s not my first time around.”

The three-time major champion’s maiden Wimbledon championship victory was mentioned by Tsitsipas as a memory of the British player that still gives him shivers.

“I’ll share with you something. A few years ago, when I was a little child, I recall seeing him win his first Wimbledon trophy, and thinking about it now gives me chills because I could feel what he was going through in that final. Regarding Murray’s historic victory in 2013 at the SW19, Tsitsipas said, “It was really tough for him to finish off that final game.

The Greek actor said, “And every time I replay that moment, I have goosebumps all over my body.

“He is someone who has done so much for the sport, and I have a lot of respect for him,” he concluded.

“I’m going to try to play my best. He is a fierce rival. The court over there is almost like his living room, and he won’t give up, the 24-year-old joked.

Let’s hope that we get to play on the Center Court. Let’s just hope for it,” he said. “I’ve never played in the Centre Court; the farthest I’ve gone is Court 1.

Murray advanced to the second round in impressive fashion after defeating fellow Brit Ryan Peniston 6-3, 6-0, 6-1 in the first round of his AELTC campaign.

Tsitsipas and Murray’s matchup in the second round of the All-English Championship this year is expected to be a tantalizing contest.
