Neeraj’s Plan for Peak Fitness: Concentrating on the World Championship in August

Neeraj Chopra, the Indian javelin thrower who won the gold medal at the Olympics, has gained a great deal of confidence by winning in a difficult field against strong opposition after making a comeback from injuries. Chopra hopes to build on this momentum as he prepares for the forthcoming World Championship in Budapest this August.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-56550″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-neerajs-plan-for-peak-fitness-concentrating-on-the-world-championship-in-august-images-90.jpg” alt=”” width=”1190″ height=”792″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-neerajs-plan-for-peak-fitness-concentrating-on-the-world-championship-in-august-images-90.jpg 275w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-neerajs-plan-for-peak-fitness-concentrating-on-the-world-championship-in-august-images-90-150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1190px) 100vw, 1190px” />

Chopra is committed to reaching his ideal physical and mental state before to the World Championship, which runs from August 19 to 27. The National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary, will serve as the venue for the event. Chopra won the Diamond League and received a wild card admission, earning him a berth in Budapest.

“At the moment, I’m concentrating on getting ready for the World Championships in Budapest. I’m now working to be in the best possible physical shape for the competition. We all agree that I am now prepared to step up my World Championship preparations after my physio’s assessment, Neeraj said at a Monday discussion hosted by the Sports Authority of India (SAI).

Chopra, who previously won a silver medal in the most recent competition in Eugene, has specific goals for the World Championships. He hopes to top his past success and win the coveted gold medal to add to his victories at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018 and the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Neeraj got a fantastic start to the season by winning the inaugural Diamond League competition in Doha on May 5 with an incredible throw of 88.67m, which was his fourth career-best. However, he suffered a muscular injury during the tournament, forcing him to skip the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland, on June 13, as well as the FBK Games in Hengelo, the Netherlands, on June 4.
