<p>At its Apex Council meeting on July 7, the BCCI will evaluate its current regulations concerning retired players’ participation in international T20 tournaments.</p>
<p>A BCCI registered player is only permitted to participate in foreign T20 tournaments in accordance with the organization’s longstanding policy after retiring from local and international cricket, including the IPL.</p>
<p>After helping Chennai Super Kings win the IPL championship last month, Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement from the competition. <p>The goal could be to prevent further deterioration of domestic cricket’s quality since the proliferation of T20 franchise cricket may force many players to retire before their prime.</p>
<p>The BCCI has made the decision to exclude its current players from competing in T20 competitions, and with the most recent development, it may even impose restrictions on retired players’ involvement.</p>
<p>“Policy for Retired Players for Participation in Overseas” will be considered, according to the meeting agenda.</p>
<p>Teams from India will attend the Asian Games.</p>
<p>The Asian Games will be place in Hangzhou from September to October, and the BCCI has opted to send teams there. India’s World Cup preparations will overlap with the men’s tournament, hence a backup team is anticipated to compete in the continental championship.</p>
<p>As the captain of the India B squad that will compete in the quadrennial spectacle, Shikhar Dhawan’s name is making the rounds.</p>
<p>At the Games, a women’s team will compete at full strength and will be the favorites to take home the gold.</p>
<p>The last time cricket was played in an Asian Games was in 2014 in Incheon. Nine years before, there were no Indian teams competing in the event.</p>
<p>The BCCI’s top brass will also choose a timeline for stadium renovations in preparation for the ODI World Cup at home. Ten sites will host the ICC tournament, and the majority of them need cosmetic improvements.</p>
<p>After BYJU’s abrupt departure, the board is without a broadcaster for the home season and a shirt sponsor. Both of those topics will be discussed throughout the meeting.</p>
<p>During the men’s team’s match versus Australia in the World Test Championship final earlier this month, there was no sponsor’s branding on the uniform.</p>
<p>Additionally, the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy’s playing guidelines will be finalized.</p>
<p>Another item on the agenda was titled “Playing Conditions for Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Tournament (Impact Player Rule)”.</p>
