When cricket was played, all of your team members were your friends, according to R Ashwin.

As one of the best cricket thinkers, Ravichandran Ashwin is known for being quite outspoken about his views on the sport. The star spinner seldom holds back from sharing his opinions on cricket-related events both on and off the field.

The 36-year-old has provided insight into the present cricket team mentality. The teammates formerly had a friendship, but according to Ashwin, things have changed and they are now simply coworkers.

When Ashwin was asked whether he consults with the squad members for advice on cricket, the seasoned spin master said honestly.

It’s a complex subject. Everyone is a coworker in this day and age. When cricket was played in the past, everyone on your team was a buddy. They are now colleagues. There is a significant difference since individuals in this situation are there to go ahead of others seated to your right or left. No one has time to ask, “Okay, boss, what are you up to? ” told Indian Express, Ashwin.

Ashwin acknowledged that the cricketing journey is quite solitary, but added that it would be great if players began communicating with one another and showing an understanding of one another’s experience.

In fact, in my opinion, sharing cricket makes it even better. Understanding another person’s method and their path helps to make things better. But it doesn’t occur nearly as often as it should. Nobody will come to you for assistance. It’s a lonesome voyage,” he said.

However, Ashwin said that you may always seek expert assistance if you want to improve your game.

Naturally, you may contact any expert you want, speak with a coach, pay to go, practice with them, attempt to feed off of them, and all that. But sometimes we overlook the fact that cricket is a very self-taught sport, he said.

In the meanwhile, Ashwin’s recent exclusion from India’s starting lineup for the World Test Championship final received harsh criticism from both critics and supporters. After returning from London, the off-spinner is now competing in the Tamil Nadu Premier League.
